Jonathan Cross, director of West Bridgford based public relations (PR) consultancy, People, Words and Pictures Ltd, is in a spin class of his own - pedalling up the pounds for the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. This April he is cycling 250 miles from Nottinghamshire to Devon to raise funds for the environmental and conservation work of the Wildlife Trust. The charity carries out excellent work in Nottinghamshire and beyond, managing nature reserves, increasing biodiversity and connecting residents with their local countryside.
Jonathan says: "Having ridden the Great Notts Bike Ride last year, I wanted to put together a longer ride and it seemed an opportune time to raise funds for the Wildlife Trust. They are currently running their Cow Appeal to buy a herd of rare breed cattle to graze and help preserve wildflower meadow habitats in Nottinghamshire. Any offers of sponsorship will be gratefully received."
"The Bridgford to Bovey ride also marks my personal contribution to the sporting legacy of 2012 Olympic year. I reguarly contribute to the official Olympic Storytellers website and will be posting updates on training progress and the ride itself on that site."
